Pre Earth Starfleet History | Glenn was raised by his parent's in the South East of England. At the age of 16 he joined the British Royal Marine Corps. After a couple of years of training he joined the elite soldiers of 1 Assault Group Royal Marines (1 AGRM). Glenn saw various amount of action during his time with Marines, from all out assaults to Peacekeeping missions. Walker rose to the Rank of Captain, before the Royal Marines were folded into the larger global Military Assault Command Operations. During the transition, Glenn’s relationship with his girlfriend Anna broke down. As a result, Glenn turned to drink to help with the pain but instead of helping it became a problem. A big problem, which almost cost him his career. Thanks to a few close friends and an understanding Commanding Officer, Glenn was able to clean himself up again and get off the alcohol. However, returning to duty, Glenn had to face numerous charges of being drunk and disorderly while on duty. With an outstanding record before his drinking and his willingness to seek help and get over the alcohol problem, he was reduced in rank to 1st Lieutenant and the door to ever commanding his own MACO unit closed. Glenn decided to retrain as a MACO pilot. He had enjoyed basic flight training during his initial training and seemed to pick it up well. He was accepted onto the MACO pilot training scheme and spent the next few years honing his skills. Once he passed his exams and got his wings he was posted to the MACO detachment aboard the Atlantis. |
