| General Overview | Min is a rather intelligent woman, especially in the realms of science and medicine. She makes a point of putting herself in the middle of situations that require such learning, and will happily nose in so long as she feels a doctor is necessary. There is a disadvantage to focusing on intellectual pursuits, and for her it seems to come in the form of a social awkwardness that makes her a rather silent person in normal situations. | Personal History | Min was born the oldest of four children to the Seong family. She took her responsibility as the eldest rather seriously, helping her parents care for her three brothers as the two adults went through their busy careers. As a young girl, she took to her mother, who was a well-accomplished doctor in the area, following her around whenever allowed to watch her mother at work. She took this passion to her schooling, aiming her career path in a similar fashion to her mother’s. As predicted, she earned stellar marks in primary and secondary schools, earning herself a fast track through university. She would then go on to medical school, coming out with a PhD and a desire to continue onward, choosing to spend a couple of years in less-fortunate areas of Earth before settling back home. She would be contacted soon after her return home by a member of Starfleet Brass, who had managed to see her efforts firsthand while he incurred an accident on a backpacking vacation through one of the smaller areas. He insisted she join, as Starfleet always had a use for a skilled doctor who was not afraid to get deep into the muck. At the promise of space travel and the prospect of being able to further her abilities without being stuck in one place, Min joined up, spending two years at the Academy to acclimate her to space travel, before being commissioned to her first vessel. Her first assignment was to the NX Challenger, thrown in as an attending medical officer for the chief physician. It would be a relatively uneventful experience for the young doctor.
