Lottie stopped dead as she took in the medical bay that she was finally getting to see after her trip in Engineering. It was nothing like she had ever seen before even with what she had experienced on board already. It was more advanced than she had ever been able to dream was possible or any film she had seen or book she had read. And there was no one to stop her from investigating it.

"Nurse Daglish, fancy meeting you here" The voice of the Andorian doctor seemed upbeat and chipper, it was nothing something the nurse would be too familiar with. Avira stepped around a large medical device that was obstructing a straight view between herself and the nurse, "have you come here for anything specific, or is it just professional curiosity?"

Lottie stopped dead in her exploring and moved to see that it was indeed Avira speaking from behind the medical equipment. She opened her mouth a few times and closed them before deciding she needed to answer the woman and quickly. "Professional curiosity Sir. And yourself?" She wondered cheekily. She was the nurse that was forever cheeky but the one that could be relied on to do the extra shift or cover nights.

"I was wondering if there would be any stuff in here that we could borrow for use on the Atlantis," Avira looked at the nurse, her antennae arcing backwards a bit in anticipation of the reaction to her admitting she was here to steal medical supplies. It was a good cover as well since one of the other reasons she was here was her own medical condition. She had an inkling of hope that such an advanced craft would also have a more advanced medical bay, allowing her to perform more in-depth scans and analysis on herself.

"What does the AI think of the idea of us borrowing?" Lottie wondered coming into the room allowing the door to slide shut behind her. It was a logical step, to be honest, Atlantis needed things desperately one more attack or something and they would be wiped out of life-saving medication. It had nearly been very touch and go when the boarding attack had happened, Ensign O'Connery had nearly not made it due to something not being available.

Avira her antennae twitched at the mention of the AI, "I didn't think to ask," she gave a mischievous grin to the nurse, "can't get a no if you don't ask," she added before stepping up to a small cabinet on the wall. She pulled the doors open and looked around in to determine it was yet another empty cabinet, "I'm starting to wonder if there ever was a crew on this ship to begin with."

Lottie nodded walking over to another cabinet to open it but as the doctor had found, she found nothing either. The ship felt too clean and tidy for there to have been a crew but there was so much of the ship that was still unexplored. “Who knows sir. There is so much to explore I would love to find some quarters and see them. Maybe hope they have a decent bathroom. Miss somewhere with water pressure.” She admitted. It would be nice to have a decent sized bed and not have to listen to the crewman she shared with snoring all night every night. Why she took night shifts sometimes just to have a decent night's sleep in the day.

"Please, call me Avi, or doctor if you insist," Avira didn't like being called by her rank, or being called sir or ma'am. She appreciated structure and hierarchy, but felt that respect had to be earned, not given on the merits of the shiny metal on one's neck, "This look like just the place that would have nice luxurious guest rooms." Though there was a part of her that still felt paranoid about the whole ordeal. Who would just leave a huge ship like this floating around unattended?

“Feels like a luxury hotel exactly. I really would like to look for one. It would ease every ache I have.” Lottie nodded feeling the same and why she wanted to explore. Maybe a console would have tell them more? She thought to herself closing the cabinet and taking off her rucksack, dropping it to the floor with a thud.

Avira nodded, "a good nights rest works wonders for ailments of the mind," she remembered her mentor telling her something similar. He really believed in the natural power of an Andorian to heal themselves. He was met with some resistance by patients as he insisted that they didn't need medication. He had a point, but was a bit too conservative with adopting some of the more advanced tech available in the medical field, "I'm really curious to see if the facilities here are any good. Do you know if you have any underlying conditions?" It would be good to have a 'control group'.

"And I am your guinea pig I guess." Lottie frowned turning around to get a good look at it all. It was a simple set up as far as she could see, it was universal really in how you set up anything medical across all species and cultures. She knew as a human, on a human ship it would be easier for her to be used especially as she was available and there right now. "No underlying conditions. Would not have been allowed in Starfleet with them. Very strick with medicals for." She revealed. "Where would you like me?"

There was a smile slowly forming on Avira's features, right before she pointed at the apparatus that looked the most like a full-body scanner, "that one over there seems like a good place to start." Once she had established that the machinery was compatible she'd be scanning herself, feeding the computer all sorts of data on the Andorian genome and hope that it would help her figure out exactly how to fix herself. That's why she needed a healthy guinea pig, to make sure anything that showed up on the scan was as a result of a medical condition.

"I do not like it when you smile Sir," Lottie commented as she moved to where the apparatus was and laid down on the comfortable looking bed. "Well, this is certainly more comfortable than the biobed back on the...." There was a moment where Lottie was talking than a cold feeling started from the bottom of her toes all the way up to her head from the bed where she lay. "That is weird. I feel like I am in an ice bath suddenly." She murmured as a light came out of the ceiling and started scanning her back and forth.

"Please stay still whilst I scan you." A voice echoed out appearing to both women in their native languages before the AI appeared that Avira had met the previous day appeared.

"Where did you learn Andorian?" Avira replied back in Federation Standard. The last time she met the A.I. she had only spoken in English, "Did you somehow access our ship's database?" She was apprehensive of the construct, wondering if she could really be trusted. This whole ship was still setting off all sorts of alarm bells for the Andorian doctor. She moved over to the monitor close to the medical scanner, hoping to be able to see exactly what readings were coming in from the full body scan that EDEN was clearly conducting.

EDEN looked at the Andorian and smiled politely at the Doctor as she moved around the woman lying on the bed who was watching fearfully. “My programme has a neurotransmitter that allows me to appear like I am talking in your native tongue. Your crew that was on the bridge told me to use one language as several of them speak many languages. I assumed it would be the same for you and your crew that met me in Hydroponic bay 12 so kept with the same language. With only two of you here, I am able to translate as you speak a lower number of languages between you all both.”

It was kind of unclear to hear how that technology would work and to Avira it sounded a lot like her mind was being read, "can you detect anything else through that process? Like thoughts or feelings?" It made her anxious, and a bit paranoid, if that were the case. She wanted to keep the question neutral but it was difficult for her to suppress the knee jerk reaction of 'get out of my head her antennae stood up straight before curling up in the direction of the A.I. in what her own people would be able to recognise as an aggressive posture.

EDEN looked at the Andorian and smiled calmly despite the hostility. “I am able to scan your body language but I am not able to read your mind. I am an Emergency Disaster Engagement Network. I am meant to provide support for any survivors on board my vessel, i need to be able to communicate with everyone." She said simply before turning her attention to Lottie. "You are free to move again ma'am. The scan is complete." She said to the woman as Lottie shot out off the bed and moved to the Andorian.

"Never ever do that again to me please Doctor." She commented as the scan results started to appear on the consoles all around them.

"Explain to me then why there aren't any survivors on this ship, what happened to the crew?" Avira stepped in between Lottie and the hologram in a protective stance. She wasn't even sure the EDEN entity was tactile, or if she was what would stop her from disappearing and reappearing somewhere else. Perhaps it hadn't been such a great idea to come here and test the medical equipment. She looked at the scan results and was quite surprised at the read outs. A super detailed overview of Lottie's current medical status, "you seem to know so much about us, but we barely know anything about you apart from your designation and mandate. Who created you?"

EDEN blinked almost human-like as she looked at the pair. “I do not know.” She sounded lost for a moment before focusing on the Andorian shifting into a more protective stance. “I do not know why I was activated. I have no knowledge of a disaster but I can only be activated by the Captain, Medical Officer or Chief Engineer in the event of no disaster for testing purposes. I…” She stopped as the image blinked out then back in to focus. “I was created by the foundation to preserve life in the event of a disaster. Have I answered your questions?”

"One more thing, if someone were sick on our ship, would you be able to provide us with medicine?" Avira wondered why the cabinets were empty but figured that perhaps the ship's resequencers were more advanced, allowing for more complex medical resources to be copied over. She had wondered what the Foundation was but wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to press on the topic.

EDEN nodded. "I will be happy to provide medicine." She said quickly. There was no reason not to help them. "The Foundation would insist that we help any travellers that cross our paths."

"Everything is empty?" Lottie wondered glancing at the other woman. She wanted to know herself what the foundation was but she was no going to pry when they were so close to getting the medicine they needed.

"There is a central store on deck.... deck. I cannot seem to find the memory with the deck number." EDEN flickered a few times before settling back into her proper image. "I apologise I do not seem to process the medical store's location but we do have the ability to replicate medicine." She offered walking towards a hole in the wall.

"Replicate?" Lottie raised her eyebrow.

"It resequences matter into things that might not be kept in stores." EDEN tried to explain.

"So you don't remember where you stored the medicine? But, if we were to find it, you wouldn't mind us taking some?" Avira found it increasingly odd that this EDEN programme didn't seem to remember quite a few fairly important details about the ship or the crew, "and this replicator thing, can it create anti-biotics? Anticoagulants? Anaesthetics?"

EDEN nodded. “Yes. The replicator can copy what you need as long as you have the recipe or item.” She did not remember where the location was which was unusual as she had a complete deck listing of the ship and all systems but it was just not there. It was meant to be as far as she knew but she was not about to admit that to these strangers even if they seemed nice. “You are welcome to anything you need. The resources of this vessel will give you a better chance of survival. The Foundation helps anyone who needs assistance in time of need.” She blinked at the pair. “Is that all you require right now?”

"I'll be sure to get you a list," Avira couldn't believe what she was hearing from this artificial lady, she looked over at Lottie to make sure she didn't misunderstand what they had just been told, "thank you for your time." When the woman shimmered out of existence she turned to face Lottie, "Sorry for putting you through that, I didn't know she was going to pop up. Next time we encounter unknown space tech, I'll go first."

Lottie shrugged it really did not matter now she was safe and well and then had a lot more information and positive vibes than they had an hour earlier. “It does not matter Sir. We know it works.” The woman assured finally letting out the breath that she had forgotten she had been holding. “She might be able to get us stuff but did you notice the way she kept flickering?” There were more things she could have added like who was the foundation or how the AI could not remember stuff but it was the flickering that was most telling out of all of it.

Avira nodded at that, "I don't know enough about this type of technology but it's definitely something we should report to the engineering crews or the commander," To her, it was reminiscent of a bad connection on a monitor or something, "She also seemed to have trouble recalling information, I wonder what other systems are affected." She gave what she hoped would be a reassuring smile to Lottie, "We better get to writing that list, before she reneges on her offer to provide us with a ship load of medical supplies."

"You can report it to the Captain and Engineering Sir. I can start on the list." Lottie offered wanted nothing more than to get back to the Atlantis for a few moments and escape the looming sense of doom she was experiencing. It was unbecoming of her but it was starting to feel like a cloud following her.
