Mercy giggled as someone near her called for the doctor. Darru had carried her all the way back to camp. His voice had calmly and logically replied to each insane question, and the fresh air had helped greatly to clear her head. She wasn’t seeing things now, at least she didn’t think so. But the she did still feel floaty and euphoric.

“Maaaan the doctor’s gonna be mad at you Mercy, wouldn’t want to be in your shoes right now!” She said in a slightly slurred sing song voice before more giggles set in. Which is how the doctor’s gonna be would find her, smiling inanely, snickering, her foot propped up by some kind soul who clearly cared enough to try and make her comfortable.

When someone shouted for a doctor Avira didn't waste time getting to the source of the shout. She'd much rather overreact twice than to be late once. That's when she saw the scientist and immediately noticed some tell tale signs of inebriation. "Ensign Mourne." She squatted down near the woman and took out the medical scanner, slowly running it over the propped up leg.

“It’s Avira! Well hello there Doc! What brings you here?” The science officer had a slightly glassy look to her expression, like she was struggling to stay lucid. “Oh you’re scanning me! Darru scanned me to and I scanned him back.” She then let out a little giggle.

“Don’t tell anyone but I really like him.” Mercy did her best to whisper in response. “Like him like him. He’s so kind and handsome. Oh hey doc, you like anyone? I won’t tell! I didn’t tell about your other secret!”

At the mention of a secret Avira's antennae immediately straightened up. "Please sit still, Ensign." She said firmly. She decided the best course of action would be to simply ignore the rambling. "What have you ingested?" Something seemed to have drawn the attention of the scientist. "Focus here, Mercy." She waved the scanning rod in front of her face, "Did you eat or drink something?"

“Yeah, I’ve eaten loads!” Mercy sat back and seemed to think really hard. “There was the breakfast that Lexi made, and some tea I had in a flask… oh no I think I left my flask down in the temple.” Mercy pouted and frowned, lost in the grief of her missing possession. “Oh and then there were the leaves I picked to help you with your secret. I ate loads and loads of them in the mushroom room. They helped with the pain! And I think will also treat some of the tremors you didn’t want anyone to see.”

Avira's antennae twitched and she looked around to see who else was around within ear shot. "Ensign Mourne, you are delirious." There was a split second consideration to simply sedate her so she'd shut up. It also gave her insight into just how much Mercy had been able to discern from not only the medical data but also simply being in the sickbay with her as she worked. "and your Anterior Talofibular Ligament is torn, with your Calcaneofibular Ligament severely strained."

Mercy blinked and then looked down at her ankle, trying to fathom what Avira was saying. “My… uhm… what’s that? can you fix it?” She vaguely remembered something from her biology classes but this was why she preferred data and plants. Less confusing. “Oh no! Is that why Darru carried me back here?” She looked utterly crestfallen. “I thought he was just benign gal.. galla… uh I thought he was being nice.”

It took a moment to try and parse what Mercy was saying, "Could've been both." She started to prepare a field dressing and splint for the injured ankle. "I will fixate it in place for now. You'll have to go back to the ship to get it properly healed." Then she smiled a bit at herself remembering what they'd need to fix this. "Remember that device you wanted to pack and I told you not to?"

Mercy blinked through the hazy memories. The device? Oh yes Mercy had tried to help Avira pack and then immediately regretted it. “Oh yes, you said we wouldn't need it.” She blinked owlishly at Avira, not able to put two and two together in her current state.

“Did I break it? I’m so sorry Avira! I can speak to someone in engineering and see if they can fix it for you. I’m so clumsy, always breaking things. Surprised I didn’t break my leg clean off!”

"No, not at all. Just turns out we could really use it right about now." Avira finished fixing Mercy's leg in place. She didn't want to give her a sedative, at least not for as long as the other side effects of the local fauna was still affecting her. "I'll be close by to monitor you. A fall like you described might've had unforeseen consequences."

Mercy gave Avira a clumsy thumbs up. “That’s good. We should get more of those plants too. I can’t feel a thing. Well except for how sparkly everyone’s voices are. Do you know yours is the colour of the ocean, not a cold one like the Atlantic. But a warm one. It’s pretty.” Mercy then flopped down onto her cot. Between the affects of the drug she had not so accidentally taken and the rush of adrenaline leaving her system she was exhausted. Just closing her eyes for a little bit wouldn’t hurt right? She could go find the Captain after.
