Beth shook her head as she followed the group lead up what felt like the millionth hill. Any other time she could have frowned or got annoyed at the walking but the mere thought of seeing an ocean or water was enough to stop that feeling before she even considered it. She had not been able to get out of the Marine CO where he was taking her and the other younger members of the crew but she knew it was water and water was something she had not seen since she had last left Corsica nearly a year ago. She moved up to get close to the man.

“Why do I feel like this this is a family excursion and we are the parents Major?” she wondered moving aside a large leaf that had hit her square in the face.

Sam raised his eyebrows at the parents comment as he watched Beth moved side wards from a dangerous leaf. "I do sometimes feel like I am leading a group of excitable children to somewhere special, somewhere secret." he said vaguely not wanting to give it away all too soon. "We are close though, literally a few hundred yards. I just happened on it when I was scouting away from the main group." he added with a mischievous smile.

Beth was not sure she liked the idea of being a orient right then and there. It was already bad she felt like she was herding kittens all the time with the crew in some cases. “Sneaky.” She mused her patience not having reached the end yet.

As they moved forwards still, the green brush almost trying to stop them from finding this haven of Kings. There was the faint sound of rushing water. "Hear that?" Sam asked Beth as he nodded in the direction of a large leaf covering the view.

“Of course. I have perfect hearing.” Beth said smiling at the familiar sound.

Behind was a crystal clear lake shimmering away under fluorescent crystal that littered on the rocks above and underneath the water. Above was a cavernous rock face, perfect from climbing and jumping off if you wanted, with a small waterfall gushing to fill the body of water in front of them.

“No bacteria? Science have looked at it right?” Beth asked not at all sure if she was ready to believe it yet despite already taking her pack off and starting to approach the water edge.
