"I don't understand. I watered it just like you told me to," Christian explained to Finn as they looked at the plant which appeared dead by his own account. Since their first date in the mess, Christian and Finn had been spending more time together, and he had asked Finn to teach him some of the gardening skills he knew. But, it was quickly becoming apparent that Christian definitely did not have a green thumb.

“I am pretty sure that you do not have any green thumbs.” Finn teased ever so slightly as he looked at the sorry mess of herbs. It would be no loss as the mint plant was like a weed. “Could be the temperature of anything. Do not blame yourself. Just cut it off and the rest will grow around it.” The man assured quickly when he thought the man might take it to heart.

Christian looked back at Finn and smiled before giving him a wink, "Clearly I don't have any green thumbs, especially since I have the best teacher." He then thought before looking back at him, "Well I have been down in the lab analyzing those samples brought back from the asteroid, so maybe I didn't water it enough." He laughed as Finn handed him some clippers, their fingers lightly brushing as they were passed between them. At their touch, Christian felt his heart skip a beat, and he winked at Finn before he set about trimming the plant. "I'm just glad my bunkmate doesn't mind the small UV light I installed in our quarters," he said.

"You really took the plant daddy to a whole new level." Finn teased the man just slightly as he set about this his own clippers in weeding back the herbs. It was a weekly job that if he forgot for a moment would be dire. He had been considering for a while to split some of the plants off and find some containers to move some of it up to the galley so Kyle would have access to fresh daily and to put some around some of the areas. Maybe he would talk to John about it? Would come under morale and making the ship feel better.

"I don't know if you'd call me a 'plant daddy' just yet. More like a plant sitter at this point," Christian replied with a laugh as he indicated the dead leaves he was removing from his own pot. He followed Finn's directions carefully, leaving behind any potential signs of green. After he completed his trimming, he set about working on another set of herbs. "I hear that Lieutenant Smith is wanting to organize another movie night, would you like to go with me," he asked while looking over to see his reaction.

"Okay plant murderer it is then." Finn teased before nodding at the suggestion. It sounded like a good way to expose them outside of the little bubble they had made even if they were not throwing what was going on between them around. "I would like that." He assured.

Christian smiled at Finn's answer, "It will be fun, you know he has good taste in films." He paused momentarily and placed his clippers down before reaching over and taking Finn's hand. "And you know I love spending time with you," Christian said softly as the two drew closer together. He looked into Finn's eyes momentarily and gave him a wink. He then leaned forward slightly and kissed him softly before pulling back momentarily, "I'm sorry, I hope you're ok with that." He found himself suddenly worried that he had moved too quickly with the man.

"Been spending a lot of time together for it to not be alight. I really did not mind." Finn said biting his lip with a shy smile. He quickly squeezed the man's hand back and leant his forehead against his. "First kiss was not awkward." He found himself teasing ever so slightly.

Christian laughed as Finn drew closer to him. He closed his eyes as they stood there holding each other. "I'm glad, It would've made future visits to care for my ailing plants much less pleasant," he said before pulling back and giving fin a upraised eyebrow and grin, "And i thought you said it wasn't dead? Do you really want to be dating a plant murderer?"

“Oh that bit is very much dead but the plant is mint it will grow around it all and fix itself very quickly. It’s practically a yummy weed. So yes I am sure I very much want to date you even if you kill with a mere thought m.” The man quickly assured just taking him in as they stood there hidden from the entrance of the compartment.

Christian laughed again before leaning down and kissing him again, taking a bit longer this time. He finally pulled away and gave him a wink, "And just for that, That's the last kiss your getting from me for today."

“Oh… we’ll that is a shame.” The man said with a sigh as he heard the entrance open. He knew they were hidden so he lazily stepped back from the man and called out. “Can I help?”

Christian let him step away, but he kept his hand intertwined with Finn's. He looked towards the entrance but couldn't get a good view on who entered. He heard the footsteps of someone moving though. He looked back over at Finn. "Can you see who it is," he whispered to him.

Finn shook his head as he heard the door close again and no further sound happen. “No.” Finn said letting go of Cristian to look around properly.

At that moment, Christian started to feel his head pulsing. He was not prone to migraines, but this was strong. He winced slightly as he brought his hand up to his forehead. He looked up as he started to see stars at the corners of his vision. Then, he felt the sensation begin to subside slightly. He closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them to see Finn staring at him, a concerned look on his face.

“Hey are you okay?” The younger man wondered gripping his shoulders to get him to look at him when he was ready to open his eyes again. “Maybe you need to get some sleep?” Finn advised.

"Maybe so, but I didn't feel tired. It was almost like a really bad migraine. But, I've never really had one so that's kinda strange," Christian said as he rubbed his forehead which was still pulsing. He then felt something trickling down his nose and he brought his hand up and wiped at it before looking down. Seeing the bright red of blood on his hand made his eyes widen and he looked back at Finn. "Do I have a nosebleed," he asked.

Finn nodded worried. He turned away to grab up a cloth to stem the flow of blood. Nosebleeds were not to bad but some people did not cope well with the sight of blood. “Here.” Finn aid pressing it close to his nose.

Christian felt his vision start to go out of focus slightly as he began to feel woozy. He reached out and grabbed the bench to steady himself. The sensation was disorienting as he closed his eyes again. "What is...," he said trailing off before he began to feel himself loosing his balance. Then he felt weightless and realized for an instance he was sliding down to the deck. As he landed on his back he looked up and saw Finn reaching out to catch him and lessen the blow of the fall. As he laid there staring up he felt his eyes start to flutter closed and he was enveloped in a dark void. The last thing he saw was Finn's worried face mouthing something to him that he couldn't hear.

”You are going to be okay.” Finn said trying to not panic the man at all when he was feeling a sense of panic at the sudden change of events.

What was going on??
