Hoynestra hated the planet she had been taken to as a prize in her opinion for the First Primarch of the Eloshian Alliance. She would never bend to their will nor give them the location of the Jasiminzian strong holds. None of this was meant to be happening but there she locked in this bare room for the last moon cycle. They were refusing to talk to her other than to demand she tell them how to force her parents to comply. She glanced up from the book that she had been provided as the door unlocked. She stood but the door did not open which was strange. The door always opened and someone came in with food if the sloop that she was provided was food but that was not happening.

She slowly approached and pushed on it and was surprised when it opened and she was very alone in a corridor with the guards outside the door on the floor unconscious hopefully and a note pinned to the wall that said simply - run.

T’Kreektan stood in his command center, brow furrowed, as he stared at the sector map in front of him. As First Primarch of the Eloshian Alliance, he received daily tactical reports from the field commanders that he habitually poured over. Whiles these reports had usually indicated stalemate after stalemate, their tone had shifted in recent weeks. The Eloshian Alliance was being pushed back on all fronts, and casualties were mounting. The war between the Eloshian Alliance and the Jasminzians had been going on for centuries. No one really knew how the war had started, but T’Kreektan had vowed to finish it once he had been appointed First Primarch. The Eloshian Alliance Hierarchy had given him broad discretion in how he was to achieve his goal, which is why his mind turned to the Princess in his holding cells.

T’Kreektan had sent the Eloshian Special Tasks Group, or STG, on a clandestine mission to abduct Princess Hoynestra as she traveled between the Jasminzian Royal residences. The princess was the heir to the Jasminzian throne, and T’Kreektan hoped that using her as leverage to force the Jasminzians to surrender. There were many in the Hierarchy that disapproved of this tactic, but they had little choice in the matter.

"Primarch," Sub Altern S'Okkaar, his Chief of Staff, spoke as he approached, "here is the latest report from the interogators. The princess is still...reluctant...to divulge any intelligence that would aide our efforts."

T’Kreektan took the proffered tablet and frowned at it. The disappointing results from the interrogators and the daily tactical report caused him to throw the tablet across the table. "Her strength is impressive, but unfortunately for her, I don't have the luxury of biding my time while we wear down her resolve," he said as he thought for a moment. He then looked over at S'Okaar, "It's time the gloves came off. Have the guards bring her to the main interrogation chamber. Perhaps it's time we sent a message to her parents about how...well...she is being treated," he said

The alarm that blasted through the room alerted everyone to a problem. “Primarch… we are getting a security alert from the princess’ holding area of our guard unconscious and the room empty.” A servant said rushing into the room bowing quickly as the room broke into chatter at the news.

T'Kreektan wheeled and looked a the status board on the opposite wall. "Seal the detention block, NOW," he shouted to the servant before turning to look at S'Okaar again. "Has the base been infiltrated Sub Altern," he asked in a harsh voice. S'Okaar swallowed hard in response, "No Primarch. We've had no alerts from the outer sentry posts. And our patrol ships in orbit have not reported any stealth craft."

"Send all available guards to the detention block now. Set weapons for stun, I dont want the princess harmed," T'Kreektan called out as he looked back at the status board. The internal sensors of the base had located the princess and her pace was being tracked by a flashing icon on the screen. He clenched and unclenched his fists. He had to recapture the princess, but this sudden turn of events had him concerned. Had the Jasminzian's mounted a rescue? He couldn't believe they had penetrated the base's security so easily.

Hoynestra had no idea who had let her out and attached the guards, but she ran along corridors and screamed as someone grabbed her and quickly but their hands over her mouth. "Shh..." The female voice whispered. "Come with me, Princess. Your mother has tasked me with getting you out of here." Nestra looked up at the woman and realised she was Eloshian.

"But you are Eloshian?"

"Half Eloshian." She admitted making Nestra raise an eyebrow and look back as she heard noises of boots running.

"There," called out the first guard as the squad rounded the corner. The squad leader recognised the face that looked back at them. His face turned to a scowl, "So, the great L'Krett is a traitor! Shoot her," he called out as he drew his disruptor and opened fire.

T'Kreektan watched the security feed from the nearest view screen. He turned to look at his aide, the revelation that the facility's security chief had betrayed him coming full circle. "Check the security systems, priority override...NOW," he said before he heard the shots from the view screen. He turned and looked at the screen and watched the chase unfold.

“The great L’Krett knows that we need to combine to become better.” The woman declared as she blocked the path of the men and raised her own weapon firing as she pushed the young woman behind her until they got to the chute that she had planned to get them out. “Get in!” She yelled. Hoynestra did not need to be told twice and threw herself down the chute with a cry as the older woman followed her as shots rained down on them from above as they landed in a laundry room, thankfully in a packed bin of clothes and bedding as planned.

Hoynestra shook the memory away as she looked at the people around her who had risked her life that day and got her away from T'Kreektan to the here and now. She stared at the ship that was slowly approaching them with interest. It was such a strange design that she had not seen before, but everyone was assuring her that it would get her to where she needed to be. "Come along, Princess," L'Krett said, indicating the transporter where they would go across to the other ship.

"It's just another leap, yes?" Hoynestra asked quietly, and the Half Eloshian just smiled. Leaps into the unknown were becoming their trademark.
