His forehead felt like it was being split open from within, almost like something was ripping itself out from the inside. His insides burned, almost like he would imagine swallowing lava was like. "What are you doing to me?" he asked, barely above a whisper. The aliens had said something about restoration, but this was worse than the United Earth training to resist torture.

"We want to know what is under your lies. We want to know what you are." The female sounding Vrav said unsure if she should be explaining that or not but she would not lie. The man was just like the others on the outside but on the inside, there was something different about him, something that the medic was thinking even he was unaware of it.

"I'm a Human, from Earth," Michael managed to get out. While his pain tolerance was high, what he was experiencing was over the top. Looking at the Vrav with anger in his eyes, he again tried to plead his case, "I can stop the Atlantis from taking your food. Once it gets to the ship, it'll be too late to save your people."

"It is too late already." The woman said unsure as she glanced back. "You are not human. You are nothing like those people you are with so that means you are a lie and your words can not be trusted."

"You Veruul keep saying that like I should know what you mean," Sloan said, giving in to the fact that these aliens would never believe him. "What does it matter? A species that tortures people like this should probably starve out."

"We are not torturing you.." The woman assured. "We are fixing the damaged in your mind."

Flashes of a bird flashed through Michael's mind as confusion set in. He fought hard to be able to get up, but the pain of what ever it was they were doing to him overtook him. "Last chance, let me go," he called out.

But they did not, the devices reached its full power and the Vrav looked back at her companions. They had decided this was the best course of action, they needed to know why he was pretending to be like the others.
